Management Team

Patrick Wolfe, CEO

Patrick originally began his professional career owning a medical billing and collecting service in 2001.  His expertise was setting up DME’s nationwide, which included everything including Medicare application, accreditation, writing each policy and procedure manual customized for the individual DME, as well as HIPPA and compliance training and helping the DME’s obtain state licensing and credentialing.

In 2008 he opened his own DME, specializing in power mobility and orthotics, as well as other typical DME commodity products.   In 2016 he transitioned from handling the commodity side of the DME business and super specialized in power mobility, specifically complex custom rehab and all other ancillary products such as scooters, lift systems, trailers, mattresses and beds.  In addition, Patrick utilizes a network of Assistive Technology Professionals to do service and repairs in the home of the mobility client.

As a result of successfully working with several large Workmans Comp managed care organizations, Patrick found a growing need for home modifications, especially to accommodate the complex, custom rehab equipment WI Medical was providing.  He then assembled a group of licensed, qualified, and certified contractors through-out the state of Florida to better serve the needs of the mobility user as well as the Aging in Place client.  Present plans include expanding home modifications to all the locations WIM presently serves for mobility equipment nationwide.

Rick Williams, National DME Director

Rick has worked in the durable medical equipment (DME) business over 25 years. He has worked directly with patients in the home as well as with physical and occupational therapists within hospitals and rehab centers. He works directly with the case managers along with the injured patients to develop plans of care best suited for their medical equipment needs. In addition, he has served as an expert witness for litigious cases involving mobility equipment as a result of workmans comp, or personal injury accidents.

Rick has been a manufacturer representative with the largest powered mobility
company in the world (Pride Mobility) for scooters, powerchairs and vehicle lifts. His knowledge of medical equipment products is extensive. His expertise is fitting both standard and custom wheelchairs and mobility items – he’s never found one to be too complex. His expertise also extends to items in the home such as hospital beds, patient lifts, and custom low air loss mattresses over 25 years.

His extensive experience enables him to make concrete assessments of equipment “needs vs equipment wants” which in turn makes WI Medicals ability to price extremely competitive. Rick prides himself on servicing the patient efficiently and effectively, improving the quality of life of that patient, while maintaining strict cost containment.

Wendy LaTorre, Marketing Director

Wendy has spent over 20 years working in Direct Response both in front of and behind the camera. Specialized in direct to consumer marketing and selling of fitness, beauty and gadgets.

Transitioned in 2012 to an innovative medical device company and applied my past experience with B to C and grew the company through organic direct response by a 30% average per year over 5 years. Her past responsibilities included oversight of all marketing while increasing revenue and bringing new products to market in innovative ways. Provided strategic guidance to support the company’s immediate and long term revenue generation goals. Responsible for direct management of all consumer sales and marketing, senior staff, interdepartmental facilitation, and project execution for all marketing activities.

Previously was the primary external contact for all consumer contractual and distribution relationships. Key responsibility for leveraging and building brand equity for multiple brands in consumer and acute medical device. Was responsible for a multi-million dollar advertising budget. Developed and managed the entire consumer sales process including lead generation, prospecting and pipeline construction; new business development; and retention and growth of existing business. Developed and reviewed all content to be distributed including print, online, video, radio and TV. Oversaw all consumer distribution relationships including initial evaluations, contract negotiation, execution and management, stocking order, co-marketing, referrals and other processes as needed. Held regular business reviews with key marketing and media suppliers, and distribution partners.

Ruth Guzman, Operations Manager

As Operations Manager and Compliance officer for the past 10 years, responsibilities have included oversight and management of daily operations, including order submission, insurance verification, billing, collections, and HIPPA compliance of all claims. 

For physician referrals, she is responsible for pre-authorizations and processing orders to ship.  Included in the sales reporting is entering the sale, updating, tracking the order and following the sequence to confirm customer service has been satisfied.  

In addition, she is responsible for all accounts receivables and payroll.  Along with management of daily operations she ensures all employees hold correct and current credentialing as well as all receive proper onboarding.
